Creating a tasteful atmosphere to illustrate the real value of client’s aesthetic world is what GO MINAMI believes as powerful photography. As a photographer/cinematographer, GO tells customized visual stories in a way of bringing the depth of classic elegance into contemporary fashion, which is deemed as Contemporary Classicism.
GO is based in New York and experienced in working with luxury fashion brands and cosmetic brands worldwide. To take the best photos and videos, his dedication to his career goes beyond techniques of photography and cinematography. From art direction, production to team selection, GO takes consideration in every aspect of each individual project. He enthusiastically tries to achieve the most exciting results for different clients. GO understands the importance of branding tradition to a luxury brand and the necessity to refresh it in the ever-changing contemporary circumstances.
GO owes his unique vision and taste to his muti-cultural background. In the head family of a school of Kyoto, Japan, GO learned not only Tea Ceremony, but he also got a sense of the kind of beauty that made a tradition to be timeless, instead of being vanished as others. And this sense became a style of classicism in his photography & cinematography. At the same time, participating in his family’s cosmetic business in Japan rendered him to understand better about the contemporary beauty that clients were always seeking for, and women were constantly pursuing.
GO went to The New School of Parsons, and worked in a New York based fashion magazine, before he became a professional photographer and cinematographer. Studying in Parsons, he received numerous opportunities to collaborate with the most talented artists in the world. And his photography was recognized by the international magazines, such as VOGUE, NUMERO, Interview, L'officiel, Wonderland, IRIS etc. As GO refines his tastes and skills in various experiences, he is now shooting for globally reputable fashion brands, and more magazines.
